The first Public-Private Partnership (PPP) university in Bangladesh and the first university in Bandarban Hill District. Founded through a foundation MoU with the Bandarban Hill District Council and approved by the UGC and Government of Bangladesh in 2018; the university's own site states it was inaugurated 7 February 2019 (Wikipedia records 19 February 2019 as the founding date). Operates three schools -- School of Arts, Social Science and Law; School of Business Administration; and School of Science, Engineering and Technology -- on a temporary campus at Rowadaw Heights, Bandarban town, pending a planned 100-acre permanent campus at Suyalok.
