Dr. Md. Ayub Ali completed his PhD degree from Institute for Catalysis (ICAT), under the faculty of Chemical Science and Engineering, Hokkaido University, Japan in 2016. Earlier, he completed his B.Sc (hon's) in Chemistry and M.S in organic chemistry from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. After completing his PhD and postdoctoral fellowship at Hokkaido University, he joined at BUET and started developing new heterogeneous catalytic synthesis of pharmaceutically active organic compounds. His research group got awarded research grant from Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and University Grant Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh for several times. His multidisciplinary research work is focused on developing new heterogeneous catalyst for modification of organic synthetic methods and the catalytic conversion of waste to wealth.
