About

Dr. Md. Mongur Hossain specializes in the synthesis and characterization of two-dimensional (2D) materials, particularly transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs). He earned his Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Technology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2019 and further honed his expertise over four years of postdoctoral research at Hunan University, China (2019-2022), and the University of Stuttgart, Germany (2022-2023). Dr. Hossain has authored 23 SCI-indexed journal articles, which have received over 1400+ citations (Google Scholar, April 2026). His research interests include 2D materials and nanostructures for energy, environmental, and electronic applications.
