Md. Mosharraf Hossain was born on September 20, 1976, into a respected Muslim family in the village of Desanterkathi, located in Betagi Upazila of Barguna district. He has developed a distinguished academic and research career over the years. He earned his PhD in Aquaponics from the Department of Aquaculture at Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh under the fellowship of BAS-USDA. Prior to that, he completed his Master’s degree in Fisheries and Marine Resource Technology at Khulna University under the Support for University Fisheries Education and Research (SUFER) project funded with DFID-UGC Bangladesh. Expanding his professional scope, Mr. Hossain contributed to the post-harvest fisheries sector and ecotourism as a Research Coordinator at USWS, Dhaka.
