Fotbal Club FCSB (Romanian pronunciation: [fet͡ʃeseˌbe]), sometimes still referred to as the former name FC Steaua București, is a Romanian professional football club based in Bucharest. It has spent its entire history in the Liga I, the top flight of the Romanian football league system. The original Steaua București football team was founded in 1947 and belonged to the Ministry of National Defence, through the namesake CSA Steaua București sports club.
