Royal Excelsior Virton is a Belgian football club based in Virton, in the Luxembourg province of southern Belgium. The club plays its home matches at the Stade Yvan Georges and competes in the Belgian Division 1, the third tier of Belgian football. Founded on 14 April 1922, the club is commonly known as Les Gaumais, a reference to the Gaume region in which it is based, and Les Verts, a reference to their green home colours. Virton spent most of their history in the amateur divisions before winning promotion to the second-tier Challenger Pro League for the 2021–22 and 2022–23 seasons, after which they were relegated.
