A private university in Dhaka, established in 1996 by the University of Asia Pacific Foundation under the Private University Act 1992. Seven schools cover nine departments — from architecture, civil, computer science and electrical engineering to pharmacy, law and human rights, business, English and basic sciences — with undergraduate programmes in nine disciplines and graduate programmes in eight.
