The Confucius Institute at the University of Dhaka, established in 2016 in partnership with Yunnan University and the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), is an academic and cultural institute fostering Chinese language proficiency and educational collaboration. The institute offers credit courses in Chinese language, HSK/HSKK proficiency examination preparations, Chinese calligraphy, traditional arts, and cultural appreciation modules. In collaboration with Yunnan University, it facilitates student and faculty exchange programs, academic scholarships, and joint research initiatives. Serving hundreds of students, professionals, and diplomats each year, the Confucius Institute plays a key role in enhancing Sino-Bangla cultural dialogue, bilateral trade coordination, and educational partnerships. It regularly hosts academic seminars, Chinese cultural festivals, and business language workshops.
