Zahra Huq is a Lecturer in Finance with academic and professional experience spanning higher education, corporate finance, and banking. She holds a First Class Honours degree in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University Management School, UK, and an MBA from BRAC University, where she graduated with a CGPA of 3.90. Prior to joining academia, she worked in the Corporate Finance division of KPMG Bangladesh, where she was involved in company valuations for mergers and acquisitions using techniques such as discounted cash flow (DCF), EBITDA, and revenue multiple valuation methods. She also gained experience in investment and financial services while working at The Co-operative Bank in the United Kingdom.
