Dr. Emran Kabir Chowdhury

Dr. Emran Kabir Chowdhury is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Dhaka and former Vice-Chancellor of Comilla University. His scholarship encompasses biochemical toxicology, heavy metal toxicity, and environmental biochemistry. He conducts courses in environmental toxicology, xenobiotic metabolism, and general biochemistry. He has supervised numerous doctoral theses investigating arsenic and lead-induced organ toxicity and protective cellular antioxidants. He has authored numerous research treatises and contributed significantly to higher education governance, advancing scientific research and environmental health safety standards in Bangladesh.
