Dr. Marzia Zaman Sultana is a medical graduate who completed her MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College (SSMC) under the University of Dhaka in 2003. She started her career in 2004 as a Medical Officer in clinical medicine in the Department of Pediatrics. Then she joined the 25 th BCS in 2006 but left after a year due to her son’s health issues. In 2008, she started her journey in public health and joined NGO Forum for Public Health and visited many arsenic-affected areas of the country for mitigation purposes. She completed her MPH in Epidemiology in 2011 from State University of Bangladesh (SUB) and started her research career in ICDDRB, where she was involved with a cohort study and a clinical trial on maternal and child health. From here, she developed her research interest in sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, adolescent health, and related public health issues.
