- Honorary Professor, Central Department of Population Studies, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal since July 2004 Chairperson, Research and Training Center, East-west University, Dhaka, Bangladesh Served as Research Director, Senior Research Demographer and Research Demographer at Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies, Dhaka (Bangladesh) during the period Sept. 1973 - July 1984. Served as a part-time Lecturer in Demographic Training and Research Center (DTRC) at Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia) during the academic year 1989-90. Visiting Associate Professor, Department of Geography, Boston University, USA, 1981-82, 1982-83 and 1983-84. Served as a part-time Lecturer, Department of Statistics, Dhaka University, 1974-75. Offered summer course on, Advanced Research Methods in Social Sciences at Dhaka University in 1974. Served as a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Morgan State University, Baltimore, USA, during the academic year 1971-72 and the Spring Semester, 1972-73.
