Mr. Swapan Kumar Sikder

Mr. Swapan Kumar Sikder is a Professor in the Department of Ceramic in the Faculty of Fine Art at the University of Dhaka. His art research concentrates on traditional pottery heritage, terracotta relief, and raku firing aesthetics. He teaches classes in traditional pottery techniques, ceramic technology, and kiln construction. He directs studio workshops re-interpreting ancient folk pottery motifs into expressive modern ceramic sculptures. His artworks have been prominently exhibited in major national visual arts exhibitions, playing an influential role in preserving Bangladesh's rich terracotta heritage.
